Israel Fashion Mexico: two countries in a single catwalk

Last Tuesday, September 6, Mexico and Israel celebrated 70 years of diplomatic relations. Both countries with the same mission celebrated the anniversary of having good communication and working together when required, a reflection of which was the way in which this year they decided to celebrate this commemorative date for both countries. It was fashionable.

They made a selection of three national iconic Mexican designers and three iconic Israeli designers. They brought them to Mexico City and the six designers made a special collection for this special night.

The way in which the designers of both countries were selected was in the hands of Brenda Jaet, promoted by Iri Tal, wife of the Israeli ambassador to Mexico Zvi Tal.

The first step was to send Brenda Jaet, an expert fashion journalist to Israel Fashion Week 2022, to make a selection of the designers that Brenda considers that Mexico needs to know and after this selection the event was held.

Brenda Jaet, a fashion journalist and curator, brought three Israeli brands to Mexico for the celebration that only took place in Mexico City.

At a press conference, Ambassador Zvi Tal said that “what matters most is the closeness between peoples, the ties that exist between civil societies and the fashion show is an expression of this closeness, culture. Both countries are old and we both care about nature and social inclusion. For me, strengthening ties between the creative minds that you have here and what is in Israel is a perfect component.”

With a capacity of 400 attendees, the Sinaí Cultural Center, located in Loma de Vista Hermosa, in Mexico City, was prepared to receive attendees with maximum security. Surveillance and security bracelets were involved. The exclusive capacity delighted six catwalks.
