United States President Donald Trump also confirmed “major combat operations” in Iran with the aim of defending the American people by “eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime.”
Israel says it has launched a pre-emptive strike against Iran, pushing the Middle East into a new military confrontation and further dampening hopes for a diplomatic solution to the long-running nuclear dispute between Tehran and the West.
Also this Saturday, explosions were heard in the Haifa region, in northern Israel, on Saturday, following missile launches from Iran, according to the Israeli news portal Ynet. Also according to Reuters, earlier, air warning sirens sounded in several areas of Israel after missiles were identified as being launched from Iran towards the country, the Israeli army said.
