Yellow alert for strong storms in the center of the country

The SMN issued a yellow alert for storms and heavy rains for several locations in Entre Ríos, Santa Fe, Buenos Aires, La Pampa and Córdoba.

The alert, which is valid until Saturday, basically covers the Entre Ríos departments of Colón, Gualeguaychú, Islas del Ibicuy, Tala and Uruguay; and the Santa Fe localities of Belgrano, Castellanos, Las Colonias, San Martín.

According to the SMN. This area will be affected by rains and storms of varying intensity, accompanied by intense gusts, strong electrical activity and possible hail, and accumulated precipitation values ​​between 20 and 60 millimeters are expected.

Although with forecasts of a lower level of rainfall, the yellow alert also extends to the departments of Juárez Celman and the lower area of ​​Río Cuarto (Córdoba); and the towns of Atreucó, Capital, Catriló, Conhelo, Guatraché, Quemú Quemú, Toay and Utracán (La Pampa).

In the case of the province of Buenos Aires, it covers the areas of Arrecifes, Capitán Sarmiento, Carmen de Areco, Chacabuco, Colón, General Arenales, General Pinto, Junín, Leandro N. Alem, Lincoln, Pergamino, Rojas and Salto.

On the other hand, the SMN issued yellow alerts for strong winds in the south and west of Chubut and in the center-north of Santa Cruz.
