Santiago. A group of graduates from the Higher Institute of Agriculture (ISA) showed concern about the management of the institution and called for its comprehensive rescue.
Rafael Cruz Roble and Luis Álvarez, spokesmen for the graduates, denounced that the group that runs that entity, headed by Benito Ferreira and the Board of Directors, seeks to perpetuate itself through a series of maneuvers and changes in the statutes to continue managing it as a private company. ..
They explain that a group from ISA changed its statutes to exclude founders, such as the Association for the Development of Santiago and others, and it has gone from an NGO made up of agricultural professionals to a private company with a real estate vocation. They complained about the process of disposing of ISA’s assets and proposed opening a line of questioning, by specifying how they handle public funds and donations.
