The political liaison of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela for the state of Cojedes, Iris Varela, denounced that the Venezuelan opposition, together with international news agencies, has a plan to advance alleged results during the electoral process this Sunday, July 28.
Varela said that the right will announce the famous exit polls during the electoral day, with voters still waiting in line. He emphasized that in these polls they will claim that the opposition won and that this recognition scheme will be disseminated by all these international agencies to be the international news that they will impose.
“What they want is to take those exit polls and during the elections, start this little campaign in all the news agencies to say that the opposition won,” explained the leader of the PSUV.
He stressed that the international news agencies CNN in Spanish, Agence France Presse (AFP), EFE news agency from Spain and AP from the United States are involved in this plan, “because the plan is revealed, that is why the president said it when he called those news agencies garbage,” Varela said.
He stressed that these are news agencies run by the United States so that they can later claim fraud. “To justify and continue with the story of a transitional government,” stressed Varela.
The National Assembly deputy also warned the political structures of the PSUV, movements and Gran Polo Patriótico to be alert to the right’s attempts to tarnish the electoral process this Sunday, “where our Gallo Pinto will have a resounding victory backed by the Venezuelan people who never kneel before any empire,” stressed Iris Varela.
