Iranian plane: Senators are not satisfied with responses from Customs, Immigration and Dinac

The board of directors of the Chamber of Senators convened on Monday the authorities of Customs, Immigration and the National Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (Dinac). The objective was to give details about the mysterious Venezuelan-Iranian flight that arrived in the country on May 13.

Jorge Querey, a national senator for the Guasu Front and a member of the board of directors, stated that they asked the guests for detailed information about the plane. He pointed out that the flight complied with all the protocol aspects. However, regarding the detection of the alarm, the questions could not be clarified.

“They did not know how to explain the reason for the on-site reviews and the crew checks. It is not clear to us how the alarms arise, if absolutely nothing jumped out in the international protocols, ”he said.

He stated that the explanation was not clear since Dinac had to report possible irregularities to the National Intelligence Secretariat (SNI) but did not do so. Despite this, the SNI issued an alert in a striking way.

“The deputy director of Dinac, Gustavo Sandoval, should have transferred the information to the SNI but he did not. So, the question that arises is how then the information reaches the SNI if the Dinac did not inform” Querey asked during the press conference.

He finally said that Sandoval requested an on-site review even though the papers were in order, a fact that also raises questions.
