Iran suspended all Saturdays flights until further noticethe aviation authority announced, after Israel announced that it was carrying out attacks in the country.
“Flights on all routes have been canceled until further notice,” the airline spokesperson said. Civil Aviation Organizationaccording to the official IRNA news agency.
Israel attacked Iranian military targets
Israel attacked Iran early Saturday, and its military declared it was carrying out raids against military objectives in response to the attacks of the Islamic Republic against the Jewish State.
The Middle East has been awaiting Israeli retaliation for Iran’s attack, in which some 200 ballistic missiles were fired, the Islamic republic’s second direct attack against the Jewish state in six months.
“In response to months of continued attacks by the Iranian regime against the State of Israel, precise strikes are currently being carried out against military targets in Iran,” the Israel Defense Forces in a statement.
Israel says it has the right and duty to respond to attacks by Tehran and its allies, which have included missile attacks launched from Iranian soil.
“Our defensive and offensive capabilities are fully mobilized,” he added.
Netanyahu and senior Israeli officials in security council on attacks on Iran
The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahuled a review meeting with senior military and security officials after launching “precision strikes” against Iran, his spokesman said.
The security council took place at the Kirya military base in Tel Aviv, and was attended by “the Minister of Defense, the chief of the Army General Staff, the head of the Mossad (the foreign intelligence service) and the head of the Shin Bet (internal intelligence),” the spokesperson added in a statement.
