The governments of Venezuela and Iran ratified the cooperation agreements in force between both countries with the aim of exploring new areas of exchange.
This was stated by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, who held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, in which he reaffirmed the solid friendship that exists between both nations.
“Araghchi conveyed to us the Iranian government’s support for Venezuela in the face of the current wave of aggression that seeks to destabilize our country,” Gil said in a statement. message released through his Telegram channel.
According to IRNA, Araqchi also stressed that Venezuela has a “special place” in Iranian foreign policy, and said that the Islamic Republic’s strategic vision in Latin America will not change under the new government of Masud Pezeshkian, according to the IRNA news agency.
Similarly, on Friday, the head of Venezuelan diplomacy, thanked the President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, the words of encouragement and recognition that he has had for the Venezuelan people.
“On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro and the Venezuelan people, we send a warm hug and our gratitude to Commander Daniel Ortega, Vice President Rosario Murillo and all the Nicaraguan people for their words of encouragement and congratulations,” Gil wrote in a message posted on his social networks.
