Iran announces free visas for spectators at the World Cup in Qatar

Iran decided this Wednesday Free visas for spectators at the 2022 World Cup of football that come from Qatar, organizer of the tournament.

“The Council of Ministers agreed that they be 2022 World Cup spectator visas free in Qatar requesting to go to Iran,” Iranian government spokesman Ali Bahadori-Jahromi said on his Twitter account.

“This decision is intended to encourage tourists to come to Iran during the World Cup and stimulate industry and tourism,” he added,

This statement comes after the Qatari Transport Minister, Jassim bin Saif al-Sulaiti, was received on Sunday and Monday on the Iranian island of Kish, in the Gulf.

During the displacement of the Qatari official six cooperation agreements were signedraising the daily number of flights between the two countries from 72 to 200, according to the official Irna agency.

Iran qualified at the end of January for the final phase of the World Cup, which will take place in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.
