Russia and Iran are determined to continue implementing all joint projects in the energy sector, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said.
“Energy is one of the most important sectors of Russian-Iranian cooperation. We are determined to continue to consistently implement all joint projects,” he said, quoted in a ministry statement on the Telegram channel.
According to the publication, Shulginov had a meeting with Iranian Oil Minister Javad Ouji, where they “discussed the main avenues of interaction between Russia and Iran in the fuel and energy sector.”
The Russian minister indicated that despite external factors, economic cooperation between the two countries “continues to develop successfully.”
He stressed that in 2021 both nations reached “a record volume of commercial exchange” which, as previously reported by the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, exceeded 4,000 million dollars last year, which represents an increase of 82%.
