Faced with these accusations, the municipality denied the news stating that it was “fake news”.

The mayor of Santiago expressed her annoyance at the mural through her Twitter account. “I regret that part of Parque San Borja has been painted without authorization, including images of explicit sex,” she said.
In addition, he added that “as a municipality we have talked with the neighborhood association (of) San Borja Park as well as with the organizations behind this mural to be able to remove these images as soon as possible.”

The Ombudsman for Children also referred to what happened in the San Borja Park, stating that “we are asking the Municipality of Santiago to evaluate the impact of these images, with explicit sexual content, on the different audiences that circulate in this public area, including boys, girls and adolescents”.
“An artistic expression must also be safeguarded and protect the rights of boys and girls. That is why we hope that the municipality takes the measures, as necessary, urgently, to avoid the exposure of children and adolescents to this type of explicit images,” he concluded. .
