Ipsos: 83% believe that octagons have an impact on their purchases

Ipsos He conducted a survey in which he measured the impact of the octagons on Peruvian citizens. By consulting them “Have the nutritional octagons seen in the products you buy or not?”, 71% said yes; 78% indicated no; while 1% indicate that no.

Likewise, he asked “how much do these nutritional octagons impact on their purchases of packaged food and drinks?”, To which 33% said they have a medium impact on their purchases: “I stopped buying some products with these alerts”; While 28% say they have a great impact on their purchases “I stopped buying almost all products with these alerts.”

22% indicated that they have a low impact on their purchases: “I stopped buying the occasional product with these alerts”; And 17% considered that they have no impact on their purchases: “I did not stop buying products, although they had these labels

When consulted about the concern that consumers have for the different types of octagons: “Which of these stamps worries you the most?”; 70% indicated that the alert that most worries is “high in sugar”; 58% said they are “high in saturated fats”; 31% said that what worries them most is “high in sodium”; 3% say that none, while 2% do not need.

The survey also consulted about the knowledge that the population has on the red dye No. 3. “In recent weeks, it has been informed that the red dye No. 3 that is used in some foods and drinks causes possible health risks. Are you aware of this news?”

Given this, 69% responded that they are aware of the news, while 31% said no. In Lima, 73% said yes, and 27% indicated no. Within the country 66% said yes, while 27% indicated otherwise, and 1% do not need.

Respondents were also asked if they consume products that contain dye No. 3, to which 25% said they believe some consume; 12% indicated that they are sure to consume some; 19% indicate not to be sure if they consume any; And 43% said they do not consume any.
