The Festival Festival at Party celebrates the September 7 holiday with free programming and starts the celebrations of the 130th anniversary of the Ipiranga Museum, in São Paulo, this Sunday (7). The festival’s activities will occupy, in addition to the museum, the spaces of the Independence Park, with cultural actions that value the diversity, inclusion and richness of popular culture.
The party museum is the largest event of the year at the institution and has been held since 2017 in celebration of Independence Day. The program starts at 9am on Sundayin the Esplanada space, in front of the museum, with a scenic performance of the Sampalhaças group, which interacts with the audience through music, circus numbers and choreography.
Several simultaneous attractions will be held in the parklike the flora experience – the childhood in motion, with nature -inspired games for children. Throughout the day, the public will be able to participate in visual arts workshops, educational games, mediated tours, theatrical shows and cultural interventions distributed around the museum. Outdoor activities are open to the public without the need for ticket withdrawal.
In a partnership with the Social Service of Commerce (Sesc), there will also be drawing and painting workshops, bird observation walk, open Vogue class, circus and literary interventions among other actions in Independence Park.
Visitation to exhibitions and space 130 years
The museum will be open for an extended period, from 9am to 6pm, with last entry until 17h. On the date, the public will be able to visit the exhibitions A History of Brazil, Imagined past and To understand the museum. Tickets for exhibitions will be distributed free of charge on the same day, from 9am, at the museum entrance.
From 9am to 5pm, there will be mediation in the exhibitions To understand the museum and A History of Brazilhighlighting the work Independence or death!. For deaf and signaling people (who use the Brazilian Sign Language), mediation will be offered by a bilingual educator at 9:30 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
As part of the birthday celebrations of the Ipiranga Museum, There will be a visit to the space 130 years, installed in the French Garden, where the first two episodes of the miniseries will be shown in the first hand Ipiranga Museum 130 years: Stories to think about the giftproduced to mark the museum’s birthday.
Directed by Marcelo Machado, the miniseries brings together, in four episodes, guests like Preta Rara, Marcelo Tas, visitors and members of the museum team. The themes include accessibility, new ways to narrate the history of Brazil and the public relationship with the historical building.
The program will also have the show Access, by Amanda Mittz, an artist who integrates accessibility resources with musical language himself. Amanda, who has visual impairment, turns the stage into an inclusive space, uniting music, technology and resources such as Integrated Audio Description and Libras Dance.
