Before the controversy that has arisen by the Executive’s decision to extinguish the special legacy project and transfer its resources to the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD), the question of how the budget execution of this institution is arises and here we tell you.
The IPD has 342 specifications, and is within the education sector. Last year an institutional budget for opening S/3’412,531 was assigned for investment projects. However, this amount fell in the modified institutional budget (PIM) to S/1’743,594.
Despite this reduction, and according to the friendly consultation portal of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), it only registered an execution of 54.5% of the PIM, that is, almost half was not invested.
Among the projects listed last year, the IPD was in charge of “expansion and improvement of the sports service of athletics of October 3 in the district and province of Huancayo, Junín region”. For this work, the PIM ascended to S/450,038, however, 0% execution progress is recorded.
The same happened with a project referring to the remodeling of a field in ICA for which S/155,997 had been assigned, and no progress is observed. In the case of a similar work in Huancavelica, for which S/480,164 was granted, the execution is 61.2%.
Meanwhile, in Lima, the situation is different. For example, for the “rehabilitation, remodeling and infrastructure equipment of the National Stadium”, if it spent 100% of the S/627,931 assigned; While for the “Improvement of Sports Services of the National Sports Villa – Videna”, 99.8% of S/29,392.
For this year, the PIM for IPD investment projects amounts to S/6’342.200, and to date does not register progress.
