The Circle of Sports Journalists of Peru – Tacna branch and the Tacna Regional Council of the Peruvian Sports Institute signed an agreement this Thursday that aims to create the Tacna sports museum.

The president of the Circle, Aaron Vicuña Vargas, stressed that said museum could be located in a space within the Jorge Basadre stadium considering that in 2023 it will enter a process of restructuring environments. It is planned to exhibit trophies, jerseys, photographs and other items related to the history of sports in the region.

“It is important to have this space and this museum so that the youth can value the feats achieved by the athletes from Tacna,” said the leader.

The signing took place during the ceremony for the 54th anniversary of the Circle of Sports Journalists of Peru – Tacna Branch, held at the Los Granados complex.
