The Weekly Consumer Price Index (IPC-S) measured by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) registered inflation of 0.02% in September this year.
The rise in prices was observed after two consecutive falls in prices: in July (-1.19%) and in August (-0.57%).
Four of the eight expense categories surveyed by the FGV had inflation: food (1.34%), clothing (0.47%), health and personal care (0.45%) and sundry expenses (0.30%).
On the other hand, four categories of expenditure registered deflation in the month: housing (-0.70%), education, reading and recreation (-4.06%), transport (-4.81%) and communication (-0.09 %).
