Two lots without sanitary record could cause damage to vital organs and generate serious adverse effects

The National Institute for Food and Medication Surveillance (Invima) launched an urgent alert after detecting the circulation of two lots of illegal capsules that are offered as drugs in Colombia, but that lack sanitary registration.
These presentations, with expiration date in April 2026, have not been authorized by the companies responsible for their legal distribution in the country, confirming that these are fraudulent products.
The entity warned that the consumption of these capsules can cause Sleep disorders, tiredness, fluid retention, allergic reactions and, in more serious cases, Damage to vital organs such as heart, liver and kidneys.
Invima recommends citizens refrain from acquiring or consuming these products and always verify the authenticity of medicines before use.
To do this, you can consult the sanitary record directly on the official website of the entity by entering the name of the product, active principle or lot number.
Finally, the institute called to denounce the sale of these illegal lots and report any adverse effect related to its consumption.
The alert seeks to protect patients and prevent fraudulent products from continuing to put the health of Colombians at risk.
