As of this February 25, the National Institute for Food and Drug Surveillance, Invima, reported that they began to progressively enable the 13 existing points nationwide of ports, airports and border crossings, so that users can issue online import and export Sanitary Inspection Certificates, CIS, under the IVC-Ports application.

This gradual restoration allows the start of operations in the port of Buenaventura and at El Dorado airport of Bogota as of the date. Subsequently, Invima will report on the other points where operations are gradually restored.
It should be remembered that the application will only enter in operation from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm., while all the improvements of the information systems and telecommunications networks are carried out.

ADVANCES IN MEASURES TO MITIGATE INJURIES
Among the measures temporarily adopted, Invima has achieved handle more than 2,227 procedures andn PAPFs manually, to optimize the logistics of the processes. In this way, the entity has contributed to mitigating the trauma caused in recent days for external reasons, by being the victim of an unprecedented cyber attack, which affected a large part of the technological infrastructure.
Additionally, progress is being made in the extension of the relaxation of the issuance of Sanitary Inspection CertificatesCIS, in ports, airports and border crossings, for companies that have been recognized as Authorized Economic Operators.
WORK WITH THE MINISTRY OF ICT
From the beginning of cyber attack To Invima, the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (MinTIC) carried out permanent support work to restore operations and work tables were defined at the technical level.

Likewise, it provided guidance on the importance of reviewing all the physical and virtual servers of the infrastructure to establish which equipment was compromised, before isolating them, and to generate lists of affected servers and services.
Together with Invima, lines of preventive action to prevent such attacks. Work is also carried out on the identification of needs and advice is given on the definition of recovery alternatives, framed in compliance with the guidelines and good practices in IT Architecture, Security and Information Privacy of the ICT Ministry.
