Until now, 19 the prosecutors charged for their alleged participation in the collection of vaccines to people who have an open criminal investigation and want to get out of that matter.
Among those investigated are two higher prosecutors: that of the Bolívar state, Luis Roa Reyes and Carabobo, Miguel José Durán Trejo, according to information collected. Roa Reyes was replaced by Ingris Elena Colmenares Jiménez, as read in the Board of Directors of the Public Ministry.
Three directors of the Public Ministry are also included in the list of investigated: Marvin Empress González Barrios (Director against Corruption), Ángel Fuenmayor (Director of Common Crimes) and Orlando Peña (Director of Organized Crime); In addition to the national prosecutor Farid Mora Salcedo.
The arrests are practiced by officials of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin), from where the investigation is substantiated.
The three apprehended directors were already replaced, according to internal sources of the Public Ministry. In organized crime she was appointed Mirian Lima; Milagros Salcedo in corruption and Luis Ernesto Dueñes in common crimes.
In Carabobo there are 13 investigated
Carabobo is the entity that concentrates the greatest number of investigated with 13 defendants. In that case, the investigations began with the arrest of the lawyer Rafael Reyna, who owned a card that accredited him as prosecutor of the Public Ministry, with which ” was dedicated to requesting money from the parties in the process, in order to ventilate cases before specific prosecutors, in turn coordinated with officials the procedures of requests for deliveries of vehicles, objects, inclusions and exclusions of persons in the integrated system of police information, expert information, expertise Distributions, investigation proceedings among others ”, as reported by the Attorney General’s Office.
Rafael Reyna’s statements before Sebin gave rise to the arrest of the superior prosecutor of Carabobo and 10 other prosecutors; Namely: Marilyn Jackeline Hernández, Gabriel José Sánchez, Michael Gabriel Quintero, Omar Antonio Ramos, Gabriel José Almea Hernández, Lerwis Osorio Pimentel, Luis Maldonado, Ángel Daza Hernández, Wilmer Agustín Vargas Silva and Ángel Dorta Sivira.
These people participated in the scheme that Rafael Reyna executed, charging for public services, because of which aggravated extortion, among other crimes, according to reports. And the 11 prosecutors who cited after the capture of Rafael Reyna, did not impute that crime of aggravated extortion, but if obstruction of the administration of justice, advantages or economic benefits of public officials or public officials, delay or intentional omission of aggravated functions, improper use of information or reserved data and association to commit crimes, according to the Bulletin of the Prosecutor’s Office.
The Carabobo list added two new arrests: Pedro Amaya and Freddy Franco, who are charged with a new crime that is not present in the Rafael Reyna file and the 11 prosecutors. This is the crime of illegitimate deprivation of liberty, in addition to aggravated extortion, among others.
Of that group of 13 Carabobeños prosecutors, only three are deprived of liberty, according to the bulletins of the Public Ministry: Miguel José Durán Trejo (Superior Prosecutor of Carabobo), Pedro Amaya and Freddy Franco (provisional prosecutor and auxiliary prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office 1st of the Carabobo State). The rest were only charged, that is, officially notified that they had open a criminal file.
