Puerto Plata.-The prison authorities expand the investigations into a shooting carried out this Thursday morning by unknown persons in front of the San Felipe de Puerto Plata Penitentiary Center.
A preliminary report establishes that, at 11:35 am, an individual of unknown identity approached the center’s main door and fired several shots into the compound, hitting the front door with at least 13 shots and the administration building with 3.
As a result of the incident, several authorities from the Public Ministry, the Judiciary and the National Police appeared at the compound, indicated the General Directorate of Penitentiary and Correctional Services (DGSPC).
