The Comuneros room hosted a public hearing, where the details and scope of two bills related to the registration of accountants were put to the consideration of the interested parties.
This is the bill “By which the registry of public accountants and the registration of the registered public accountant is created”and the bill “That creates the mandatory professional registry of accountants and accounting graduates of Paraguay “.
Both parliamentarians highlighted the need to listen to all sectors, in such a way to verify the different positions and thus be able to adjust the regulations and make them applicable.
In this sense, the deputy Édgar Acosta explained that the activity of the date seeks to establish a regulatory framework, which generates a status for the work carried out by accountants.
For the legislator, there is a need to professionalize the activity of the public accountant, which is present in all areas of society, in private and public companies, government and decentralized entities, and which is one of the fundamental bases for transparency and state management.
“We seek create registration and registration, to give him the importance of the accountant and the auxiliaries; They are the accountants who attest to the records of all the actions of companies and companies; we want to create the record and generate the corresponding status, for the complex work they do,” he said.
On the other hand, the document presented by legislator Hugo Ramírez states that the main purpose is to regulate the work of accountants in relation to their proceedings before the Ministry of Finance.
“We see the urgent need to start the process of formalizing a professional sector that is constituted, without a doubt, in one of the main executing arms of the application of tax and administrative laws,” says part of the regulatory text.
Both initiatives work, for study, in the Legislation and Codification commissions; Justice, Labor and Social Welfare; and in Industry, Commerce, Tourism and Cooperatives.
