Inversiones Popular, awarded as the largest variable income underwriter

Inversiones Popular, SA – Puesto de Bolsa, a subsidiary of Grupo Popular that operates in the stock market, was recognized during the IV Edition of the Stock Market and Stock Market Awards (BVRD) as the “Largest Underwriter of Variable Income”, for having registered the largest volume of placement of variable income instruments in the primary market from the beginning of December 2021 to the end of November 2022.

In this period, Inversiones Popular managed to place variable income instruments for an amount of RD$4,202 million, equivalent to 17.77% of the total placed on the market, according to data from the Stock Exchange and Stock Markets of the Dominican Republic (BVRD).

The BVRD Awards have the objective of promoting the development of the capital market in the country, rewarding the companies with the highest transaction and placement through the stock market.

The award was received by the vice president of the Stock Market Subsidiaries Area and general manager of Inversiones Popular, Mr. José Manuel Cuervo.

This brokerage position has received various awards on previous occasions as the best arranger and placement agent in the years 2007, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014.

Inversiones Popular is a stock exchange that has a long history of 30 years, encouraging the personal and professional growth of Dominicans through investments in the local stock market.

In this year, the subsidiary of the Cluster Popular plans to close the year with very positive results that strengthen its sustained growth, with the opening of more than 2,000 new brokerage accounts that represent more than 18% of the total number of openings in the market.
