The Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet) issued this Thursday a yellow alert for strong and persistent windswhich is valid from 1:30 p.m.
The warning, which affects various central, northern and northeastern localitiesreaches, for the moment, six departments. There will be an update around 15.30 or significant changes.
The phenomenon reported by Inumet warns by the formation of rain and storms -in some cases punctually strong-, in addition to a increased winds, occasional hail fall and intense electrical activity.
The situation continues to be monitored, the institute announced.
