He Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet) ceased the yellow alert that had been issued this Tuesday due to strong storms.
the alert started at 2:20 p.m. but finished at 9:30 p.m.. It had started in the south, southeast and center, but at 4:30 p.m. it expanded to the north of the country; at 18:30 it was divided and there was a smaller warning for the north of the country and another, larger one, which covered the south, from west to east. Finally, at 8:00 p.m., it began to affect localities in the southwest and southeast of the country.

However, Inumet continues to monitor the situation and explained that, “If necessary, new weather alerts will be issued”.
