He Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet) ceased the yellow alert for severe storms that it had in force for the north of the country.
As reported by the agency, an “atmospheric disturbance associated with a humid and unstable air mass” affected the country, which generated storms “some occasionally strong.”
Nevertheless, at 10:30 p.m. the institute ceased the weather warning since the atmospheric conditions improved “temporarily”.
Nonetheless, Inumet “keeps monitoring the situation” and clarifies that, “If necessary, new weather alerts will be issued“.

Inumet had warned that in stormy areas it could be recorded “intense rains in short periods, occasional hail fallintense electrical activity and strong gusts of wind”.
