Inumet again updated its yellow alert for strong storms with hail fall

The Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (inumet) once again updated the yellow alert for strong storms in localities of some departments of the country.

According to the agency, there is a “atmospheric disturbance associated with a humid and unstable air mass” that “affects the country”.

In stormy areas you can see “intense rains in short periods, occasional hail, intense electrical activity and very strong gusts of wind”.

The alert will be updated at 17:00 or upon significant changes.

Localities affected by the yellow alert

Artigas: Artigas, Baltasar Brum, Diego Lamas, Javier de Viana, Paso Campamento, Sequeira and Topador

long hill: Aceguá and Isidoro Noblia

paysandu: Drums

Rivera: Whole department

Leap: Biassini, Cayetano, Cerro de Vera, Fernández, Lluveras, Migliaro, Puntas de Valentín, Quintana, Rincón de Valentín and Sarandí de Arapey

tacuarembó: Ansina, Arerungua, Iporá Spa, Caraguata, La Hilera, La Pedrera, Las Toscas, Paso Bonilla, Paso del Cerro, Pueblo de Arriba, Pueblo de Barro, Punta de Carretera, Sauce de Batoví, Tacuarembó and Tambores.
