In recent hours, Interpol issued a red alert against Josué David Pérez Dos Santos, a 46-year-old former municipal official and piano teacher at the Dolores House of Culture who is a fugitive after receiving a first-instance sentence of ten years in prison for rape of a 17-year-old student.
The red alert was requested two weeks ago by the Dolores Prosecutor’s Office in charge of Leonardo Dugros and Judge Dany Athaides agreed in the last hours.
The case dates back to 2019 when the parents of a 17-year-old student came to the Prosecutor’s Office to report that Pérez had raped their daughter. The teacher stopped going to teach and presented several medical certificates, recalls the local media Agesor.

Finally, in mid-June of this year, the Justice sentenced him to ten years in prison for a crime of sexual abuse especially aggravated as a criminally responsible author. At the hearing in which the sentence was read, the prosecutor requested the preventive detention – while the appeal was resolved – of Pérez, but the magistrate understood that he did not have the power to act, and told him that he should request a hearing with the Guarantees judge.
The second hearing was set for the end of June, two weeks later, and Pérez did not appear. Since then he has been on the run. Given this, the Prosecutor’s Office asked Interpol for a red alert for the fugitive, which implies an arrest warrant for all countries where his presence is registered.
