San Pedro de Macorís. – Members of the National Central Office (OCN-INTERPOL SANTO DOMINGO), in coordination with the Public Ministry and the Regional Subdirectorate of Investigation, arrested a French citizen required by the justice of their country for the crime of sexual aggression.
It’s about Jean Lami, 51captured during a raid on the farm Oasi RDlocated in the community Guayabal, Gautier Municipal District. The operation was carried out in Compliance with the court order No. 2025-AJ0062325 and Resolution No. 001-022-2025-SRES-01648 of the Supreme Court of Justice, that authorized their arrest for extradition purposes.
Lami was under a Interpol Red Notification (No. A-12838/11-2024), issued in November 2024.
In the procedure they seized their French passporta cell phone, a brand shotgun MAVERICK MODEBERGseveral bank cards and other personal objects.
During the operation, people of French, Venezuelan and Dominican nationality were also arrestedwho were occupied by passports, identity documents, money in different currencies and a vehicle Nissan Frontier NP300.
The arrest was headed by an inspection of the Unit for the Attention to Victims of Gender Violence of San Pedro de Macoríswith him Interpol agents support and of the Regional Investigation Directorate.
The detainee was transferred in custody to the corresponding retention center, where it will remain until its extradition process with judicial and migratory authorities.
