Internationalist Jean Paul Mertz assures that the media misrepresented information about Russia

The international analyst, Jean-Paul Mertz, assured that the media generated a controversy by misrepresenting the information between the Russian army and the Wagner Group, because it was about the confusion produced in these media, in which the message given by the leader of the Wagner Group, Yevgueni Prigozhin, and their role as contractors.

During the interview granted on the Café en la Mañana program, the internationalist expressed: “These reactions from the Wagner Group were magnified in the media that generated a misrepresentation of what would be the reality of the contract of this military group.”

He also stressed that the Wagner Group, in its attempted rebellion, tried to create false complaints against the high command, but did not question the leadership of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Putin’s leadership was not questioned, not even during the uprising was it about the president, rather they disguised a kind of complaint to the Russian military high command, but not directly against the head of state,” Mertz stressed.

He indicated that there is full legitimacy of the Government of President Putin, as well as some institutions that are not going to give in to the pressure of a group.
