The 7th edition of the International Experimental Theatre Festival began yesterday in Santiago de Cuba Offline at 969, which will close on July 21. The event is dedicated to Osvaldo Doimeadiós, 2012 National Humor Award.
The inauguration took place last night, Wednesday, at the Cabildo Teatral with the play Psychosisby the La Caja Negra Performing Arts Group, with text and staging by Juan Edilberto Sosa Torres. It is based on Psychosis 4.48by Sarah Kane.
Rey Luis Correa, a member of the organizing committee, announced the participation of groups from Villa Clara, Havana, Camagüey and Santiago, as well as from Mexico, Chile and Argentina. They will perform at the Martí Theater, the Guiñol and the Casa del Joven Creador. The theoretical event will take place at the Hotel Deportivo.
The program includes the opening of the photography exhibition Brave women, by visual artist and photographer Enrique Estrada Mata, from Guadalajara, Mexico; an Irish dance workshop led by Fabiola Alatorre, and a discussion with Doimeadiós, among other activities.
