The Senatur released the figures left by the economic movement left by internal tourism within the framework of Easter 2023.
The report was prepared by the SENATUR Tourist Observatory with the collaboration of other institutions.
One of the relevant points of the report corresponds to the income generated by the movement of internal tourism, which reached an estimated figure of US$ 83,309,021, higher than that registered in 2022. From the Senatrua, the wide and dynamic mobilization of people and vehicles throughout the national territory stands out.
The arrival of 27,582 foreign tourists was also registered, which implies a 44% more than in Holy Week 2022, according to data provided by the National Directorate of Migrations. This flow of visitors from abroad meant an income of USD 19,969,368 for the country.

The traditional procession of Tañarandy housed approximately 25,000 people, on the other hand, in the north of the country, in the town of Concepción, the activity called “El Camino de las Luces” received some 20,000 people.
Likewise, in the department of Paraguarí, in the town of Yaguarón, the presence of more than 18,000 people was recorded during the activities scheduled for holy days.
The different attractions of the Itaipu Tourist Complex also attracted the attention of a total of 15,419 people and for his part, the Yacyretá dam received 2,629 visitors.

Regarding Hotel occupancy at the national level was 80% (18 percentage points more than in Easter 2022) and the extra-hotel, also 80%, according to the information collected.
In this way, these global numbers reflect an increase of more than 70% in terms of income, compared to the data for Easter in the pre-pandemic year 2019.
