The General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) reported that raised 94,751.7 million of pesos in January, which represents an increase of 9,426.2 million pesos compared to the same month last year, equivalent to an increase of 11%.
The result implies compliance of 102.6% of the set goal in the general budget, exceeding the estimate by 2,429.1 million pesos.
The DGII highlighted that, by excluding the extraordinary income recorded in both 2025 and 2026, the monthly growth It was 5%, equivalent to 3,954.3 million additional pesos.
He highlighted that his income represents 81.2% of the total taxes received for him State through the different collecting entities, consolidating its fundamental role in the financing of public policies.
Performance of the taxes
Regarding the main taxesthe tax on transfers of industrialized goods and services (ITBIS) gender 25,142.6 million of pesos, for an interannual growth of 14.8%, equivalent to 3,240.7 million more than in January 2025.
This behavior was supported by the increase in total sales and taxed, with growth of 12.9% and 7.9%, respectively, driven mainly by trade sectorsother services and hotels, bars and restaurants.
On the other hand, the income tax of the natural persons collection 14,502.9 million of pesos, for an increase of 13.2%, equivalent to 1,689.2 million additional pesos, largely explained by the 14.3% increase in the income tax of the employees.
Meanwhile, the income tax of companies and assets reached 13,139.7 million of pesos, with an interannual growth of 6.7%, which represents 820.4 million pesos more than in January 2025.

Extraordinarily, mining taxes recorded a collection of 11,006.7 million pesos, for a positive variation of 5,419.9 million compared to the same month of the previous year, equivalent to a growth of 97%, driven by the rise in the price of gold and greater efficiency in the sector’s production costs.
Finally, the selective tax to the fuels gender 7,322.1 million of pesos, while the others taxes together contributed 23,637.7 million pesos, completing the total collected by the DGII last month.
