Intermediate: San Lorenzo scores and clings to the fight

Sportivo Luqueño tied this Monday 2-2 with Sportivo Iteño at the close of date 21 of the Intermediate Division, at the Feliciano Cáceres stadium. A defensive error shortly after the end cost Chanchón the victory, which fell from the top.

At 40 minutes, the auriazul striker Diego Fernández defined in a great way for the local 1-0, a result with which the first stage ended.

But before the break, in additional time, Gustavo Marecos was sent off for a double warning, leaving Luqueño with 10 players.

The second period witnessed another red card, in this case from the visiting side: Richard Escobar, due to a strong tackle, also left Potter with 10 values on the field (57′).

César Pérez, at 65′, with the complicity of a weak response from Tobías Vargas, made it 1-1 for Iteño.

Juan Núñez, with a great shot from outside the area, put Miguel Zahzú’s team up on the scoreboard again with a 2-1 lead in the 71st minute.

And when it seemed like a triumph for the host, an ugly lack of coordination between Jonathan Schunke and goalkeeper Vargas in a ball that seemed harmless, ended in the definition of Jackson Acheampong, who sealed the final 2-2 at 88 minutes.

This result left Sportivo Luqueño with 44 points, sharing second place with San Lorenzo, both one unit below the now leader Sportivo Trinidense.

Sportivo Iteño, for its part, reached 16 points although it is still in the last position of the Intermediate, as well as still in the relegation zone in the table of averages.
