Liverpool (England) eliminated Inter (Italy) despite losing 0-1 with a great goal from Lautaro Martínez, and qualified for the quarterfinals of the European Champions League on Tuesday.
This Wednesday there will be another two, which will come from the visit of Lionel Messi’s French PSG to Real Madrid and the almost resolved cross between Manchester City (England) and Sporting Lisbon (Portugal).
The eight teams qualified for the next round will be completed next week with another four games.
In Liverpool, Inter were not hit by Lautaro’s great goal at 16 minutes into the second half: the 1-0 was insufficient after the 0-2 loss in the first leg. The Italian team suffered the expulsion of Chilean striker Alexis Sánchez a minute after taking the lead, which conditioned their chances of going back in history.
Lautaro Martínez played from the start and in the absence of a quarter of an hour he left his place to Joaquín Correa.
