Inter Milan “hope” to take over the services of Argentine attacker Paulo Dybala, who is free from contract with Juventus in Turin, the ‘Nerazzurri’ CEO Giuseppe Marotta admitted on Monday, who also confirmed the departure of Ivan Perisic, probably to Tottenham.
Regarding Dybala, “it is clear that the hope is that he can play with us,” the Inter manager, who was in the Juventus organization chart when the Argentine signed for the ‘Bianconeri’ in 2015, said during a round table in Milan.
Giuseppe Marotta, smiling, assured however that he does not know where the 28-year-old ‘Jewel’ will play next season, to whom Juve did not offer a new contract.
Asked by the Italian media after this intervention, the Inter manager later confirmed that Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic, who is also ending his contract with the ‘Nerazzurri’, will leave the Lombard club.
“It’s a shame, but he wanted some experience in the Premier League,” he said, as various media announced Perisic’s imminent signing with Tottenham, coached by former Inter manager Antonio Conte.
“We weren’t in a position to offer him a better offer,” Marotta confessed.
Perisic, 33, has been at Inter since 2015, with the exception of one year on loan at Bayern Munich (2019-20).
Giuseppe Marotta did not deny that Inter is studying a possible return of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, who left for Chelsea last European summer for around 115 million euros, although he is not entirely happy with the ‘Blues’.
