Preparing the start of classes in Primary Education
Elections for positions, competitions and everything that has to do with the beginning of the 2026 school year concentrates the attention of the authorities of the Departmental Inspection.
Everything has to be ready so that classes can start on Monday, March 2 without any problem.
It should be remembered that the Teachers will begin with all the administrative work in their respective schools on March 24 as confirmed by the General Directorate of Initial and Primary Education.
“Since February 2 we have been working with elections for positions, first through videoconferences those of Inspectors and Coordinators were covered, while now we are already with the positions of teachers of the different areas: practical, initial, special, physical education, Technology Center coordinator, Physical Education Coordinator and competitions as well” detailed the Teacher Cristina Reggiardo.
This Wednesday in the morning the physical education contest took place and in the afternoon the second call for the other areas was held.
“Today we are going to have contests, we will continue all week, and after the carnival the elections for positions will continue” announced the Departmental Inspector of Schools of Cerro Largo.
All this activity will last until February 25. “One day before, on the 24th, Teachers begin to work in schools. The election on the 25th is for positions that arise from teachers who request maternity leave, for example. These requests are known and all are offered so that at the beginning of classes all children have their Teacher” he stated.
“Classes begin on Monday, March 2” confirmed.
At the moment there are no changes regarding the beginning of closing or opening processes of schools in rural areas. “We remain the same. As long as there are children they remain open, but at this time school 105, which was the one that was closed, for now we have had no news. The situation remains unchanged” held.
He confirmed that Master Sandra Caticha joined the Cerro Largo Inspectorate in the Practice Area, a position that Cristina Reggiardo herself held before assuming the head of the Inspection.
A VERY GOOD EDUCATIONAL SUMMER
“It has been excellent. This year like never before. Between 400 and 450 children attended” revealed to THE DIARY PROFESSIONAL.
“For some schools we had to ask Primary to give us one more charge because the number of children was impressive, between 90 and 100 every day” stood out.
Those with the highest levels of attendance were schools number 11 and 75 in the city of Melo.
Reggiardo highlighted the presence of the children and the perseverance of the parents to send them to the Educational Summer activities. “Many recreational, socio-educational activities, educational outings, swimming pools and camps were carried out. This attracts children a lot, proposals different from what is done throughout the year” said the Departmental Inspector of Schools of Cerro Largo.
