Santo Domingo.- The president of the Fuerza del Pueblo party, Leonel Fernandezleft the Seguros con Leonel political movement sworn in on Thursday, which supports the aspirations of the former president for a fourth term in the 2024 elections.
“The insurance sector has qualified us as an insurance policy, which I gladly accept to serve insurance to the Dominican people,” said Fernandez.
“We consolidate ourselves for a sure victory in the first electoral round of 2024, this support from the insurance sector helps us in the goal of reaching 2 million members in the People’s Force and with the electoral victory”, he added.

Fernández reiterated that “The current government team does not want to understand that we are in a crisis, the world is going through turbulence, crises represent great opportunities for the development of large projects, the current government has no way of resolving the crisis.”
“The triumph of the People’s Force in 2024 is inevitable,” added Fernández, who governed the country three times, 1996-2000 and 2004-2012.
According to a FP statement, the Seguros con Leonel Fernández movement is made up of employed and related executives from the insurance sector, whose main objective is to strengthen the party structure that advocates the return to power of the former President of the Republic.
The movement is chaired by Edwin Jorge, president; Democles David Cabrera Espejo, Vice President; Lilibeht Blanco, Executive Director; Jean Carlos Puello, Mally de Jesús, Leonel Espinal, North Zone representative; Ramón García Tavera, Director of Strategic Communication and Public Relations among other people linked to the insurance world.
The entity of businessmen and people linked to the country’s insurance sector has a broad structure at the national level, guaranteeing constant growth to the aspirations of the president of the People’s Force Party, Leonel Fernández, to lead national destinations again.
“The Seguros con Leonel movement was born from the insurance sector, made up of a group of young people with new ideas and strategies who want to be part of the political, social and economic development of the Dominican Republic,” said Jorge.
He assured that “the development they advocate goes hand in hand with those traditional political leaders who, with their experience, will guide us along the best path.”
“The Seguros con Leonel movement is aimed at recruiting people with values, ethics and social commitment from our country, in order to bring them to the ranks of the People’s Force Party,” Jorge said.
The activity was attended by political leaders, senators, deputies, businessmen from private banking and the insurance sector.
