Insurance sector contributes to reducing the employment gap between men and women

According to the study, VI DCH Barometer on Talent Management in Spain and Latin America, Colombia is one of the countries where the welfare and equality law is complied with when hiring for public and private positions.

According to the Human Capital Directors Organization – DCH, at its II Global Human Capital Summit 2024 at the dialogue table “Renewed Diversity: Creating an Inclusive Work Environment”, Livi Betancur, VP of Human Talent at Seguros Bolívar and Servicios Bolívar and president of DCH Colombia, expressed that “the panorama The situation of human capital in Colombia is promising, the importance of human talent in the success of organizations is recognized, as well as greater attention to issues such as diversity and inclusion, workplace well-being and leadership development, but it presents significant challenges such as the need to strengthen digital skills. and the adaptability of workers to rapid technological and market changes; in this regard, the importance of training and updating skills to ensure employability and professional development of the Colombian workforce is highlighted.”

In the case of Seguros Bolívar, the company has been characterized by having a work culture based on respect, equality and inclusion. As relevant data, currently out of 14 vice presidencies, 7 of them are under the leadership of women. And of the 434 existing positions in Analytics and Digital, 136 are female talent, which represents 31% of the staff in the area, contributing to closing the gender gap that exists in the country.
