Insurance: Peruvian SMEs arouse interest from Chilean insurer

The low level of insurance in the local market has attracted AVLA, a Chilean firm that will seek to gain ground in the targeting the small and medium-sized business market (), made up of more than 1.7 million businesses.

For this reason, he announced the arrival in Peru of Iglu, an insurtech (insurance company whose service and processes are online) that will seek to gain market share in the business and personal segments.

The launch of Iglu takes place in a context in which the Chilean firm seeks to take advantage of only one in five Peruvian companies is insuredaccording to information from the Peruvian Association of Insurance Companies.

“We firmly believe that the development of small and medium-sized companies is essential to continue driving growth in Latin America. That is why, with Iglu, we want to deliver a digital solution that adapts to their needs and reinforces our commitment to them”, says Andrés Álamos, General Manager of AVLA Peru, which focuses on sureties, letters of guarantee and credit insurance.
