Institutions in Ayacucho caused more than 11 million economic damages to the State, according to the Comptroller’s Office

The audits and specific control services that detected irregularities in public entities identified an economic damage of more than 11 million 690 thousand 976 soles, as warned by the regional manager of Ayacucho Control of the Comptroller, Wilmer Figueroa Mendoza.

According to the 2022 government control balance, the Comptroller General’s Office determined alleged responsibilities in irregular acts of 172 public officials out of a total of 23 public entities in the Ayacucho region, as a result of subsequent control reports.

These were the results of the government control carried out in Ayacucho in 2022, which resulted in a total of 2,358 control reports, of which 826 correspond to subsequent control, which includes 2 compliance audits and 30 specific control services, one audit of performance, eight financial audits and 785 subsequent ex officio actions.

In the case of audits and specific control services that detected irregularities in public entities, it carried out control of an amount of S/ 83 million of State resources, of which, in the execution of S/ 13 million, observations were made by of the audit teams of the Comptroller’s Office, who, in addition, identified an economic loss of more than S/ 11 million 690 thousand 976.
