The president of the new National Association of Propane gas (ANG) estimates that in the Dominican Republic there are about 1,000 packaging machines gaswhose investment is around 60 million pesos per station.
“For you to have a packaging machine LPGby the new regulations, both security and instance and permission, At the national level, it is currently around 60 million pesos. We are talking about 1.2 million dollars,” said Walberto Céspedes.
Furthermore, it ensures that the sales they are around 50 million of gallons monthly.
Céspedes spoke during the presentation of the National Association of Propane gasin an activity that took place this Friday in the Kennedy room of the Intercontinental Hotel in the capital.
He said that the new association has as main goal: strengthen the business relationships between commercial section of LPG and the Dominican Oil Refinery (Refidomsa).

- Albagas
- Egrodaggers
- Red gas
These companies of gas propane of the country will provide standards of training and they will join efforts with the regulatory entities of the sector such as the Ministry of IndustryTrade and MSMEs.
The foregoing will be in order to maintain an open channel of communication, which helps the healthy competition and respect for the rules and current regulations.
“Currently we have five founding membersbut we are in the process of expanding and we understand that we are going to reach 18 or 20 members on average who are loyal to Refidomsa”, he indicated.
He assured that the members of the ANG are in the National Geography. “In the eastern zone we have a great representation, from Bavarian until Small Mouth; in the metro area, where we have a large representation, mainly in Santo Domingo EastSanto Domingo Norte, the National District and in the area of Santo Domingo Oeste,” he said.
