The National Assembly (AN) of Venezuela formally installed the Network of Young Parliamentarians, with the aim of making “profound changes” that allow the excluded to be empowered.
This was stated by the deputy of the AN Nicolas Maduro Guerra in the installation of this network, where he expressed that parliamentarians must “be in our State, making the laws and the budget known to continue building and strengthening the power that Chávez left us.”
He indicated that the power that President Hugo Chávez left “is not a power to enrich the people, it is not a power to be more powerful to those who want to dominate the resources of Venezuela.”
On the contrary, the legislator continued, “it is a power so that our people who resist the economic war, our people who are fighting for the economic path together with the country, have in us as deputies, councilors, legislators, the true voice of profound change that must continue to be printed in the country through the Bolivarian Revolution”.
“In us young people is the true voice of change and of the future,” said the parliamentarian.
For her part, the deputy Grecia Colmenares assured that “youth are present, we have great challenges in these legislative instances, we need to organize ourselves to talk about our Venezuela.”
He recalled the commitment of the parliamentarians to “continue listening to all the Venezuelan people in order to find solutions to the problems of society. It is our task to translate the needs of the people”.
“As young people we can translate the needs of the people, it is an honor to be here in this Network that should open us to the country project that has instances of debates, where we can promote projects that generate the amount of happiness possible for the people. We have the mission of promoting everything necessary for the well-being of the people, ”he reiterated.
In this regard, the president of the AN, Jorge Rodríguez, highlighted the installation of the Young Parliamentarians Network, which he cataloged as “fundamental” and “essential”.
“There is no way to think about the future if we don’t work with those who build that future, the rest is empty,” he was right.
“We cannot stay in rhetoric and the order is to comb every inch of land, reach each house, each community to build their rights, reach each urbanization, city,” Rodríguez added.
