This Friday, July 22, Governor Ernesto Luna and the Presidential High Commissioner for Peace and Life, Alexander Vargas, swore in Monagas the State Congress of Social Movements of the New Era, Monagas chapter.
This activity was carried out on the covered field of the Liceo Nacional “Ildefonso Núñez Mares” in Maturín and was attended by at least 40 popular organizations of the entity, giving way to a great display for the organization of all sectors and thereby solidifying the revolutionary force in the region.
The head of the regional government reported that this meeting is part of the policies that President Nicolás Maduro has directed towards the congress of the new stage of the Bolivarian Revolution.
«We are called to apply the 3R.Net, we must resist, be reborn and revolutionize, and of course change everything. The governmental actions to be undertaken will be carried out with the assistance and leading participation of all the social movements active in our state », he expressed.
Venezuela writes a new era
In this regard, Vargas, who is also the godfather and tutor of Monagas in the Congressindicated that a new era is being written in Venezuela.
“Our president has called on all sectors of society to exercise in unity, the development of a prosperous country and free of coercive measures against our people,” he said.
Vargas stated that the objective of this instance is to go to the call of the social movements, in order to bring unity around the leadership of Bolívar and Chávez and that today is led by President Nicolás Maduro.

Similarly, Governor Luna pointed out that the installation and swearing-in of this Congress of the New Era is necessary to articulate the relationship of the different movements and that they know that they can count on this project and on President Nicolás Maduro, which will allow them a major accompaniment.
He also urged all the participants to spread out and go to a great debate in the 13 municipalities and in the 44 parishes of the entity, which will allow the elaboration of a specific work agenda to reflect, propose and respond to their requests, which will allow progress in this new era and thereby achieve unity, participatory democracy and the productive development of Monagas that all its inhabitants deserve.
Likewise, he explained that the promoting teams of the organizations that comprise the Social Movements of the Monaguense territory were sworn in.
“Thank you brothers, for heeding the call of President Nicolás Maduro, for what will be the Congress of the New Era, to continue consecrating victories,” he said.
Participation of the PSUV
The meeting was attended by the deputies of the National Assembly Eirimar Malavé, liaison for the youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV); Omar Farías, Irwin Monteverde, national liaison for Social Movements; Cosme Arzolay, organizer of the PSUV in Monagas and state coordinator of the Congress of the New Era, and other members of the party’s state structure.
