INSS: in 13 days, the national queue began analyzing 105,000 benefits

The National Social Security Institute (INSS) began analyzing more than 105 thousand benefits after adopting the nationalization of the request queue. INSS: in 13 days, the national queue began analyzing 105,000 benefits

The numbers, released today (26) refer to the two-week period of activity, starting January 13, when the new analysis method was adopted.

Since that date, the queues for the Benefits Management Program (PGB) at INSS are no longer regional and become national queues. As a result, more than 2,500 servers started to analyze requests.

“Since the creation of the national queue, the INSS has registered a total of 105,150 ‘pull’ tasks, that is, more than 105 thousand benefits that have had their analysis started. Of this total, 48,574 tasks have already been completed, representing benefits completed in a short period. The mobilization has the participation of 2,375 employees committed to this task force”, informed the INSS.

According to the institute, the measure accelerated the recognition of rights and reduced waiting times for policyholders.

“With the single queue and at a national level, servers from regions with shorter waiting times work in processes in places where demand is greater. The initiative expands service capacity and promotes more balance in the analysis of requests and is essential for reducing waiting times for analyses”, reiterated the organization.

For the president of the Institute, Gilberto Waller, nationalization allows the institute to act with more equality and with a greater number of employees in cases of longer waits.

“Our priority is to truly attack the queue, focusing on benefits such as BPC [Benefício de Prestação Continuada] and those due to disability, which represent almost 80% of demand”, he said.

Suspension of in-person service

National Social Security Institute (INSS) agencies across the country will be closed for in-person service from Wednesday (28) to Friday (30).

The purpose of the interruption is to carry out planned improvements in the social security systems of Dataprev, the company responsible for Social Security information technology.

It is worth remembering that remote service channels, such as Meu INSS (website and app) and telephone exchange 135, will operate normally until the 27th, with more than 100 services available.

The INSS also warns that, from 7pm on the 27th until the 31st of January, Meu INSS (website and app) and the 135 telephone exchange will be unavailable.

According to the municipality, the modernization of systems will ensure greater stability, security and efficiency of services.
