This Thursday (23) begins the deadline for female leaders who work with cultural activities-which generate positive impact on their communities-enroll their projects in the Inspire Award. The deadline to fill the registration register ends on August 11. 
For the first time, the award will be exclusive to black women (cisgender or transgender). The award has a special focus on projects developed in Bahia, Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco, Federal District and cities of Mato Grosso and the interior of São Paulo. Registration is open to two distinct categories: women and collectives. The first is focused exclusively on black, cisgender or transgender women over 18 years old, with proven acting in art or culture for at least one year. The second category includes non -formalized groups, with representative a black woman with proven cultural activities for at least one year.
“The inspiring award is not just an awards, but a movement that recognizes the transforming power of culture when led by women. When a woman transforms her reality through art, she inspires others to do the same,” says Balarte manager Barbara Arraes. In five years of existence, the project has recognized and enhanced dozens of women in several states, generating direct impact on many lives.

According to the organization, with the theme Infinite Cycle Inspirethe 5th edition celebrates the transforming power of art with the driving force of social justice, ancestry and resistance. The concept of this edition unfolds into eight interconnected acts: inspire → Create → Resist → Perform → Empowerment → Multiply → Enchantment → Dreaming – representing the continuous flow of action and renewal promoted by women in their territories.
ODS
In line with the United Nations (UN) agenda 2030, the initiative directly strengthens the objective of sustainable development 5 (ODS 5 – gender equality) and contributes to six other SDGs, including reducing inequalities and promoting cultural diversity. Promoted by the Neoenergia Institute, the Inspire Award is a realization of Baluarte with sponsorship of Neoenergia, through the National Culture Incentive Law of the Ministry of Culture (Law No. 8.313/1991).
Project Evaluation
Proposals will be evaluated by a technical committee and external experts, based on four fundamental pillars: inspiration, which concerns the potential of mobilization and the ability to replicate creative solutions; Transformation, related to the social impact generated in the territory; Articulation, which analyzes the degree of connection with local actors and support networks; and diversity and creativity, which values innovation and cultural plurality of proposed actions.
The public can participate in the process of choice through the vote onlineopen from October 30, on the Inspire Award website. Of the 16 initiatives contemplated, two will be defined by cultural merit and the others by popular decision. The winners will be announced during an award ceremony, scheduled for the end of this year.
Award
16 initiatives led by black women will be recognized, with a prize of R $ 169 thousand. The values will be distributed according to the categories: women (popular vote), 12 initiatives, R $ 10,000 each; women (cultural merit), with an initiative, R $ 10,000; collectives (popular vote), two initiatives, 13 thousand each; Collectives (cultural merit), an initiative, R $ 13 thousand.
The announcement of the pre-selected will be made on September 30 and the finalists on October 30. The popular vote takes place from October 30 to November 10th. The award ceremony will be on November 27.
