The General Director of the Panamanian Institute of Sports Luis Denis Arce, in the company of the Governor of the province of Panama Oeste Sindy Smith and the President of the Board of Trustees Alberto Aviles, toured the work of the new High Performance Baseball Center and Mariano Stadium Rivera, located in La Chorrera.
During the inspection, it was possible to observe some 200 workers, who carry out tasks of emptying the perimeter street, parking lots, the metallic structure of the left field and the retaining wall are erected.
Currently, the High Performance Baseball Center and the Mariano Rivera Stadium have a construction progress of 35%.
With a total investment of B/. 41,737,893.24 The Rigaservice SA company is responsible for carrying out the construction of these top-level facilities for baseball in the country.
Luis Denis Arce, General Director of Pandeportes, indicated that it is the first tour with the Board of Directors of the stadium and it is sought that both works are sustainable, with transparency to continue promoting baseball in Panama and Central America.
This project will generate the inclusion of many more Panamanians in all the elite baseball leagues worldwide.
Sindy Smith, Governor of Panama Oeste, was satisfied with the significant advances that both facilities present and hopes that they will be inaugurated very soon for the benefit of baseball players from Panama Oeste and the entire country.
The stadium will have the specifications required by Major League Baseball (MLB) and the High Performance Center will be the first in the country dedicated to the preparation of our baseball players.
