At 30 years old, Lorenzo Insigne leaves Napoli to land in the MLS at the hands of Canadian Toronto FC, but he is not willing to end his international career and reiterated his commitment to the Italian team.

“It is still early for me. I will continue to be available, I will always be committed to the Italian team. I have spoken with Roberto Mancini (coach) and I have told him that I will always be available to travel. That is where he chooses,” Insigne said today at Wembley in the press conference prior to the Finalissima that will be played tomorrow by Italy and Argentina, champions of the European Championship and Copa América in 2021.

Insigne also referred to Diego Maradona, who was the last player to lift the title in a match between the UEFA champions and CONMEBOL.
“I have a Maradona tattoo because I am a Napoli fan, I wanted to honor him in this way. For us Neapolitans, Maradona is an icon to whom we will always be grateful,” Insigne pointed out.
