The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued a warning today (16) about a heat wave that will last until next Monday (19) in several regions of the country. The temperature could rise up to 5º C in the period of 2 to 3 days, which could cause a slight risk to the health of the population.
Inmet listed the regions that could be most affected by the heat wave in the coming days: Northern Pioneiro Paraná, Serrana, Western Santa Catarina, Central-South Mato Grosso, Presidente Prudente, São José do Rio Preto, Metropolitan Curitiba, Itajaí Valley, Eastern Mato Grosso do Sul, Campinas, Northwest Rio Grande do Sul, Bauru, Piracicaba, Greater Florianópolis.
The cities of the South/Southwest of Minas Gerais, Itapetininga, North Central of Mato Grosso do Sul, Zona da Mata, East Rondônia, West Central Paraná, Ribeirão Preto, Araçatuba, Southeast Mato Grosso, Northwest Paraná, Macro Metropolitan Paulista, Marília, North Central Paraná, Southwest Mato Grosso do Sul, Araraquara, Southwest Paraná, West Paraná, Pantanais South Mato Grosso are also part of the list.

In particular, pay special attention to the hydration of children, the elderly and the sick. Apply saline solution to the nose and eyes to prevent dryness. Avoid exercising between 10 am and 4 pm and wear hats and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun.
