The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued an orange alert for low humidity in 15 states and the Federal District.
The states of Goiás, Tocantins, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul will be affected by the dry weather, as well as parts of Maranhão, Piauí, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco, Paraíba, Bahia, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná and Rondônia.
In these locations, relative humidity should not exceed 20% and there is a risk of forest fires and the health of the population. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the ideal limit for relative humidity is around 60%.
Inmet advises the population to drink more fluids and avoid both physical activities and sun exposure during the hottest hours of the day. It is also important that people increase the use of skin moisturizer and humidify their environments.

Minas Gerais
The State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainable Development (Semad) has published a note warning about the regions that will face lower relative humidity, with the Triângulo, Northwest, West and South of the state being the most affected areas. Semad also recommends the use of light clothing and encourages the consumption of fruits and vegetables.
Mato Grosso do Sul

In a statement, the Governor of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul explains that the situation is due to a heatwave, driven by the action of a hot and dry air mass.
