The inmates of the Pucchun prison in the province of Camaná managed to enter or manufacture prohibited tools such as handmade knives, metal cutlery, lighters, among other products.
In the intervention carried out this morning by the police, the staff of the Penitentiary Institute and the Prosecutor’s Office also met mirrors, lighters, electrical cables, cords, CDs, among other items.
Many of these products would be used for aggression, to intimidate other inmates, or for personal use. According to INPE administrators, these items are prohibited inside the prison, so they were seized.
Unlike previous interventions, the inspectors they found no cell phones, chargers or chips of the different operators.
